Description

The general election is likely to trigger significant reductions in public expenditure, which will inevitably impact on vital national and local community infrastructure programmes and projects. The ‘Total Place’ agenda highlights the need for public sector organisations to collaborate much more closely to deliver improved services and efficiencies, by pooling budgets and integrating management structures. Funding Essential Infrastructure Projects 2010–2015 provides an excellent opportunity to take stock of how projects and programmes will fare in the new and challenging context of the UK’s post election public sector infrastructure and service programmes. This one day conference will be chaired by Chris Wilson, Executive Director, Jacobs. Chris has been a Beacon Judge on Procurement in Local Government and is a Member of SOLACE, the PPP Journal Editorial Board, and the World Bank PPP Forum.
