Description
\\\"In order to be considered sustainable, an energy technology must: last a long time; do no harm; and leave the environment unchanged\\\"
The University of Glasgow has a long history of energy research with alumni including Watt, Kelvin, Rankine and Stirling. Glasgow has proven itself as one of the UK\\\'s leading institutions for academic research into all areas of sustainable energy (electricity, heat and transport) encompassing: solar, turbines and wind power, wave power, power systems, hydropower, carbon production and combustion, microgeneration, materials for energy, thermoelectrics, biofuels, fuel cells, catalysis, policy, regulation and economics.
It has built up an academic resource that is now able to assist enterprises in realizing new products, processes and innovative business opportunities in the sustainable energy sector and is now working with industry and its requirements for interdisciplinary sustainable energy knowledge, skills and facilities.
This forum and exposition is intended to be an interactive opportunity to share capability and requirements, where all attendees are participants. This will uniquely enable you to discuss and debate sustainable energy technologies and to identify the impact it could have on your business. You will start to forge new partnerships with the university and with other participants that can positively impact your future business. We are very pleased to have keynote talks from Stuart Deed, Head of Business Partnering Scottish and Southern Energy Venture Capital Ltd, and from Ian Arbon from Engineered Solutions, one of the UK\\\'s leading experts on sustainable energy.
Come prepared to discuss (non-confidentially) your thoughts and interest. You will have the opportunity to present 2 slides on your business and sustainable energy opportunity or requirements.
