We are delighted to announce that BritishEco have been awarded a place as a "Green Deal Pioneer Provider".
The Green Deal is the government"s plan to improve the nation"s homes using green technology and insulation at no upfront cost to the consumer. The Green Deal will support more significant energy efficiency improvements that have not been promoted before and support green investment and economic growth.
On the 4th April 2012 the Chairman of BritishEco met with the Climate Change Minister Greg Barker at Whitehall Place, London to sign the Green Deal Provider agreement.
There are 22 organisations in total who have signed an agreement with the government to work to become the first Green Deal providers. The group of organisations are made up of big businesses, SMEs and community groups as they do not want the Green Deal to be dominated by large companies only.
BritishEco have been chosen as we are an established, experienced renewable energy installer covering a wide range of technologies to domestic, commercial and public sector properties. We wholeheartedly support the aims of the Green Deal and wish to use our practical skills and experience in the renewables sector to contribute to the development phase.
As a pioneer BritishEco will be working with the Government to ensure the move from testing into a managed launch in October works seamlessly and provides a good customer experience from day one. As a Green Deal provider (GDP) we will play a central role in developing and testing the systems, processes and finance mechanisms that will constitute as the Green Deal.
Becoming a Green Deal Provider is great news for BritishEco and our customers as we will have a say in how the Green Deal is formulated allowing us to voice our customer experiences so that the scheme is as beneficial, accessible and straightforward for you as possible. As a GDP we will be able to provide the finance for the Green Deal, arrange and carry out installations, and act as your first point of contact.
Having firsthand knowledge and information on the scheme will allow us to provide you as our customer with the following from the offset when the scheme goes live in October 2012:
Information including rules and regulations of the Green Deal
Organising and obtaining an EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) for your property
What the Green Deal means to you and your property
Proposal of work required to your property
Arrange and provide the finance required for the works
The benefits and savings that you will receive
Arrange and carry out installations
DECC is working to have a managed launch from October. DECC wants to launch the scheme steadily to grow the market right through to the end of the decade for what will be a twenty-year job.
